January 19, 2012 is the centenary of Leonid Vitalyevich Kantorovich, mathematician and economist, a winner of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. His works address an immensely wide range of questions – functional analysis, numerical methods, software system development, extremal problems, mathematical modeling in economics and the principles of economic.

Saint-Petersburg State University is arranging an international conference on «Mathematics, Economic Sciences, and Management: the Centenary of L.V. Kantorovich», to be held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on February 7-9, 2012.

We invite you to take part in the conference!

The conference will consist of plenary and sectional sessions on various scientific topics associated with L.V. Kantorovich.

The sectional sessions based at SPS University and the Russian Academy of Science (Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics SPSU, Department of V.A. Steklov Institute of Mathematics RAS, Faculty of Economics SPSU, Saint Petersburg Institute of Economics and Mathematics RAS, Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes SPSU, and the Graduate School of Management SPSU).

Online registration will be open at http://kantorovich100.spbu.ru on September 20, 2011. If you intend to give a talk, please submit an abstract when registering. The length of the abstract should not exceed one page. The Program Committee reserves the right to accept or reject submissions. The themes of contributed sessions will be announced later.

The conference registration fee will be 1500 roubles. It is assumed that transport and living expenses are covered by the invited side.
